Cargo shipping from China to Kazakhstan
We pick up cargo from your supplier anywhere in China, receive it at our own warehouse in Guangzhou — with photos and actual measurements — and deliver to Almaty, Astana, and the regions. Consolidated shipments and dedicated trucks, documents for the import regime you need.
Shipping methods
| Method | When it's chosen | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Truck, consolidated | small and medium-volume shipments | 10–15 days actual |
| Truck, dedicated | large volume, when speed matters | faster than consolidated: cargo doesn't wait for a departure |
| Rail | large shipments, when timing isn't critical | priced per route |
| Air | urgent and lightweight high-value cargo | priced per flight |
Kazakhstan borders China, so the trucking leg here is shorter than on most other routes: 10–15 days in transit is a real timeframe, not a marketing one. We accept shipments from 50 kg, it's more cost-effective to consolidate from 150 kg. We quote the rate for your specific cargo — leave a request.
Consolidated cargo or a dedicated truck
Consolidated. Your shipment travels together with others, and you pay only for your own space. Suits small and medium volumes, minimum intake is 50 kg.
Dedicated truck. For large volumes it's usually more cost-effective than a consolidated shipment and noticeably faster: cargo doesn't wait for a departure to fill up and goes direct.
What's more cost-effective for you — we'll calculate from your shipment's parameters. This is exactly the case where what matters is not the rate per kilogram, but the total cost of shipping your specific cargo.
How the cost is calculated
Shipping is charged by weight or by volume — whichever parameter is "heavier" for the shipment:
- volume = length × width × height × 1.1 (stacking coefficient);
- density = weight ÷ volume;
- The basis of calculation — kilograms or cubic meters — depends on the carrier's price list and is always specified in your calculation.
You can calculate your own cargo yourself — the calculator on the homepage will show which parameter the rate is based on.
Documents and import regime
Kazakhstan is a member of the EAEU, so the import regime and document set differ from the Uzbekistan and Ukraine routes. The scheme is chosen based on how you sell your goods.
You can import into Kazakhstan officially or as cargo — we work both ways and call things by their names. Official import here usually turns out more cost-effective: controls have tightened, and the price difference no longer offsets the risk of losing a shipment. What's more cost-effective for your shipment — we'll calculate from its parameters.
The shipment is arranged with a contract, invoice, packing list, and export documents, plus certification if required. The contract and payment to the supplier can be handled through our Hong Kong company: 1.5–2.2% depending on monthly volume. Your customs broker files the declaration — you remain the importer and owner of the goods on paper, and input VAT stays yours.
How a shipment works
Payment to the supplier in China
Transferring payment to the factory's account through our Hong Kong company is a separate service. For an importer this is the other half of the task: the goods need not only to be delivered but also paid for. Usually these are two different contractors; with us it's one point of contact.
Frequently asked questions about the Kazakhstan route
What methods are used to ship cargo from China to Kazakhstan?
By truck — consolidated shipments and dedicated trucks, with an actual transit time of 10–15 days. Rail and air are available for urgent cargo. Kazakhstan borders China, so the trucking leg here is shorter than on other routes.
Can I send a dedicated truck instead of consolidated cargo?
Yes. For large volumes, a dedicated truck is usually more cost-effective than a consolidated shipment and noticeably faster: the cargo doesn't wait for a departure to fill up.
How does customs clearance for Kazakhstan differ from other routes?
Kazakhstan is a member of the EAEU, so the import regime and document set differ from the Uzbekistan and Ukraine routes. Official shipping is the default option on this route: contract, invoice, packing list, and export documents, plus certification if required. By default, your customs broker files the declaration and you remain the importer on paper; if needed, we can arrange clearance as a separate service.
What's the minimum shipment size for delivery to Kazakhstan?
We accept from 50 kilograms. It's more cost-effective to consolidate from 150 kg: on shipments around 50 kg, the rate per kilogram is higher. We don't carry parcels or small shipments.
Do you deliver to Almaty and Astana, or to the regions as well?
Almaty, Astana, and other cities. Delivery to the recipient's warehouse is charged separately from the main shipment, and we quote the cost before dispatch.
How is the cost of shipping to Kazakhstan calculated?
By weight or by volume — whichever parameter is "heavier" for the shipment. Volume is calculated as length × width × height × 1.1, and density is weight divided by that volume. Whether the calculation is based on kilograms or cubic meters depends on the carrier's price list and is always stated in your quote.
